Who we are

Bis is a free app by SH1, based in Portugal. We are the controller of the personal data described here.

Contact: support-bis@sh1.com.br.

What we collect

Account: e-mail, name and profile photo (when you sign in with Google or Apple), username and bio. As a guest, only an anonymous identifier.

Content you create: saved items, notes, moods, ratings, lists, blocks and reports.

Usage and diagnostics: app usage events and technical device data (Google Analytics for Firebase) and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics).

Searches: search terms are sent to our server (movies and shows) and directly to Apple (music) to fetch results. We do not link them to your profile.

Notifications: if you turn on new-episode alerts, your device gets a notification identifier from Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and subscribes to the channels of the shows you follow. Alerts are sent per show, without knowing who receives them.

Why we use it

To provide the service, sync your data across devices, show the lists and profile you choose to make public, send the alerts you turn on, build anonymous aggregate rankings, prevent abuse and improve the app.

Legal bases: performance of our agreement with you (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)) and legitimate interest in analytics and security (art. 6(1)(f)).

What is public

By default nothing you save is public. A list is only visible to people with its link if you make it public. A public profile is optional and shows only the name and username you choose, your bio and your public lists. Saved items, notes, moods and ratings are always private. Bis has no followers, messages or people search.

Who we share it with

Google (Firebase: data hosting, sign-in, notifications, analytics and crash reports), Cloudflare (our app server), TMDB (receives search terms without personal data), Apple (music search and previews, straight from your device) and YouTube (trailer playback).

We do not sell personal data and Bis shows no ads.

International transfers

Some providers process data outside the European Economic Area under the European Commission standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

How long we keep it

While your account exists. When you delete your account (Settings → Delete account) we erase your profile, lists and saved items. Guest data is erased when you sign out. Anonymous aggregate counts may remain.

Your rights

You can access, correct, delete or export your data and object to its use. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD, www.cnpd.pt) or the authority in your country.

Children

Bis is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We will announce material changes in the app.
